Please tell us about yourself.
I’m Kat and I am 35, married with a 3 year old son. I live in Portsmouth in the UK. I started writing about 3 years ago. My desire to write started a as child but it wasn’t until I lost my best friend, my mum to blood cancer back in 2010 that I decided it was time to follow my heart. Life is too short.
Tell us about your book.
Melissa wakes up in a hospital bed after a savage attack. Her boyfriend Luke, front man of a band called The Black Eagles is missing. Melissa has to recount the events that led up to his disappearance. How they met before his bands rise to fame and all that came with it. The good and the bad, old wounds are open in order to find Luke but with time against them and no trace of him anywhere, are they too late?
What inspired you to write Strings?
My other passion is music. I love the music scene, blogging for bands, going to gigs around the UK. I combined my love of music and books.
How much time per week do you spend writing/editing your work?
I try to do a bit each evening if family life allows. It can vary but 1-2 hour a night.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’ve just handed the sequel to Strings over to my editor and made a small to start on book 3.

Where is Luke, and can he be found before it is too late?
Kat Green was born Nov 1979 into a military family and moved around a lot during her childhood. This shaped her into the person she is today. She is at ease with meeting new people and adapting to new surroundings. Her family roots are from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Kat now lives with her husband and son on the south coast of England, Portsmouth. She doesn’t pretend to be the best and is still growing as a writer and having fun along the way. She loves books and has a busy imagination. Her love for music plays a big part in her first novel called Strings. Kat loves to watch live bands and can usually be found at gigs around the UK. In 2010 she lost her mother to blood cancer and it was time to put her words on a page and stop worrying about what people might say ‘Life is too short and precious to waste’ is her motto. Writing is her passion and her escape.
